1. How does it work?
The Digital Door Viewer's main components are an LCD monitor
and digital camera. The camera is mounted on the exterior of a door and the
LCD directly opposite on the inside. A sharp, color image is sent from the
camera to the monitor whenever the power button is pressed.
2. How is it powered?
The Door Viewer runs on 8 standard "AA" size batteries. It
is completely self-contained and requires no external wiring or connections.
3. How long
do the batteries last?
The product is "on" only when the operator is pressing the
power button. This period of time is a "viewing cycle" and averages 5
seconds in length. The battery life is approximately 1000 viewing cycles. In
typical operation, the battery replacement frequency is one year.
4. How difficult is the installation?
Installation requires only a common power drill. A hole is
drilled in the door exterior for the camera and the monitor is attached to
the inside using self-tapping screws. Time for installation is less than 10
minutes.
5. How big is it?
The LCD panel mounted on the inside of the door has a
5.6inch viewing area in an 8.5 inch wide by 5.5 inch high frame. On
the outside, the camera is mounted in a flat circular housing with a
diameter of just 3/4 of an inch.
6. Can I retrofit it on an existing
door?
Yes, the Door Viewer can be installed in any standard door.
The door can be hung or not. Any existing peephole is first removed.
7. Can I buy a door with the viewer
in it already?
Not currently. Similar to door hardware such as locks and
hinges the Door Viewer is supplied separately.
8. How hard it is to use?
The Door Viewer is simple to use. Just press and hold the
clearly labeled power button on the monitor for a distortion-free view.
9. Can my guests break it? Or take
it?
The Door Viewer is assembled from the highest quality impact
resistant components. The LCD panel has a protective lens cover. There are
no directly accessible fasteners, wires or connectors.

electronic imagery products for the lodging and residential markets.
11. Why haven’t I seen this before?
The Digital Door Viewer™ is a brand new product now being
marketed after an extensive design and development effort.
